Our story begins, not with Amani, but with her mother, doing battle with the Dortharl tribe in their territory on the Azim Steppe. Heavily pregnant with Amani, she slew many of their best warriors.When the battle was done, the Mi'qote warrior fell, not of her wounds, but from the labour which had begun early. Believing that the souls of their fallen warriors were being born into the body of the newborn child of this great warrior, the Dortharl assisted with the labour, and though Amani's mother died in childbirth, Amani was taken in by the Dortharl.The Azim Steppe
It was not unheard of, for the souls of the Dortharl to be reborn into outsiders, but it was incredibly rare. Amani faced great challenges in her years with the tribe, and was given no quarter by her peers. However, she learned to give none, either. It was in this time that she became a fierce and powerful warrior, as her mother, and as the other members of her tribe.The Chorus
As is known, the Dortharl believe that they are all the reincarnations of former members of their tribesmates, taking on their names and holding each other in that esteem and to those expectations. However, something about Amani was strange. For there was not a single soul rebirthed into her body, but many. A Chorus of voices and personalities with their own talents and agendas.The Dortharl believed Amani to have taken on the souls of many tribesmen, some believe Amani to have taken on her other selves from the other shards - no answer has yet to come to light.However, her time in the Steppe ended in tragedy and violence. It ended when a member of The Chorus, known to them as The Empty, took the life of Amani's greatest rival and first lover in a moment of intimacy. Ashamed of her crime and terrified of hurting others, Amani fled the Steppe for Eorzea and began her travels.The Six Year Nomad
Amani sank quickly into despair, hedonism, brawls, and drink. If one was to ask her the lowest point in her life, it would be that she slept through the calamity, as she had drunk too much to be woken even by the ending world.Sure, she had good days during this period, days where she was brightened by the presence of companions, days where she found people to cling to - but she always found her way back to her vices. She frequented fighting pits, and quickly learned she had a talent for taking punishment. It was through this, that she found the first step to salvation.The Dark Knight
She never learned her name, the woman who dragged her out of the fighting pits, drunk and injured, her beat her when she argued, who put a greatsword in her hand.Amani learned something so much more important. She learned that she did not need to hide from her Chorus, that she and herselves were not criminal her cruel or unkind or wrong. She had simply been a scared woman with no understanding of herself. She wore the black plate of the Dark Knight and stood in defense of the innocent and found her first steps in purpose.She hasn't touched the bottle since the day she picked up The Sword.The Songbird Savior
Amani, as far as she's concerned, deserves an award for not proposing marriage to Sehrranen Qalli on the spot. The beautiful Xaela songbird who walked into her life and forced Amani to reconcile the last of the mistakes she had been running from. Sure, Amani'd had sex again since the incident in the steppe but she hadn't been emotionally intimate. Sehrranen changed that, challenged that.It was not an easy road, not one Amani walked without mistakes, and yet... they walked it together, lovingly. And on the other side, they found their hands clasped together, and love warming their hearts.Present Day
Amani lives a nomadic life, though she rarely adventures or seeks out adventure. In truth, she's beginning to grow tired as she reaches her 30s. Perhaps that's an early time to call herself ready to stop adventuring but she's finding join in crafting, fishing, and the act of kata and meditation. She sees the beauty in the world and wants to enjoy its pleasures and sights whilst she still has the chance.RP GUIDE FOR AMANI
Whilst Amani's relationship with Sehrranen is non-exclusive she still remains highly committed to her love and they spend much, if not most, of their time together. As a result, if you are looking to do an RP with Amani, the best periods in her life to approach her are from The Chorus to The Six Year Nomad. That said, The Present Day is not off the table if a strong narrative pitch presents itself!

This depends on which character you'd like to do a scene with. Kai and Vane are new characters and don't have much background and narrative yet and so there's LOTS to do and introduce with them! I'm very open to doing SFW scenes with them at any point in their timelines!With Amani, please read her backstory carefully and pitch a place you'd be interested in doing a SFW RP, as her narrative already has a lot going on and I don't want to conflict with existing threads. That said, there is definitely room! The Six Years Nomad period is quite open for exploration and doesn't have much SFW RPing in it! I'd love to explore this time in her life more!NSFW
Amani, Kai, and Vane are all very free spirits. Whether you're doing a non-canon or canon sex scene with them I'm entirely fine with you pitching something.Of course, pitching a canon scene within their stories will absolutely get me far more invested and I'd be very excited to add your characters' impacts to their exploits!
